Effective communication of research and outreach activities has strategic value to faculty in promoting their scholarship, procuring funding, and to advancing the overall mission of the university. This seminar will bring together colleagues to discuss why it matters for faculty to promote their activities in a way that is aligned with the institutional strategies for messaging, branding, and marketing our “stories,” explore what supports are available and how to utilize the personnel and services at MSU to enhance your proposals, and share some trends and lessons learned from colleagues who are actively deploying use of a shared institutional voice and persona in persuasive and promotional writing, such as grant proposals and marketing tools.
